The Charming Ghosts At Cobb Mansion Bed & Breakfast | Virginia City Nevada | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

Virginia, Nevada, is a perfect example of a ‘ghost town’ which is 'very much alive' with echoes from its mining boom days and entities that still linger.

This town was founded in 1859, kind of in a frenzy, just after the largest silver strike the world has ever seen.

Today Virginia attracts over 2 million visitors per annum, all eager to see the boomtown relics and artefacts for themselves.

Welcome to Cobb Mansion Bed & Breakfast located in Virginia City, Nevada.

This once mansion, now Bed & Breakfast, has been elegantly restored in vintage decor. It is often described as 'Downton Abbey like'.

There are three beautiful storeys with traditional period features such as an original stovetop Aga range which was imported from England, mahogany stair rails and Shaw & Co 1800s porcelain sinks.

Step back into the 1800s, with the additional perks of modern day amenities such as wifi and en suite.

Let’s just hope the ghosts are as charming as the décor.

The mansion was constructed shortly after the Great Fire of 1875 which destroyed most of Virginia City. The establishment was first owned by a local businessman, Herman J Harris, who owned a nearby cigar shop.

In 1944 William Cob purchased the mansion from Harris for $300 and lived here with his family until 1975. It is rumored that this location is haunted by the spirits of the Cobb family.

Guests often report unexplained sounds such as rustling noises and sounds of running water, as if someone is using the shower, yet the faucets are all turned off.

Maybe the Cobb family never truly left?

But don't worry these ghosts are said to be non malevolent and in fact quite charming.

Paranormal investigators have captured a female voice saying ‘go to the stairs’ by way of EVP (electronic voice phenomena) accompanied by unnatural and intensely ice cold blasts in temperature regulated rooms.

So, if ever you are visiting the Old West towns of Virginia, why not stop by and relax in the Family Parlour, or Butlers Pantry, and see if you experience anything paranormal.

This captivating mansion is literally bathed in spirits from its past who are warmly beckoning you to come inside.

Dare you enter?
