Dahlonega is a small city in Northern Georgia, recognized for its wine country and renowned for its ongoing reports of supernatural phenomena.

Dahlonega was originally inhabited by Cherokee tribes who were set upon by European settlers who set about trespassing and stealing native resources.

However, the town went on to flourish and rapidly expand.

In 1836 the Old Lumpkin Court House was constructed, from here a United States Coin Mint factory was established, manufacturing golden coins for the United States economy. The Mint was later used a Federal Government administration building, later as a college campus, and today is The Dahlonega Gold Museum.

In 1958 a wagon train filled with local Dahlonega gold was transformed into sheet gold which was added as embellishment to the Capitols domed roof.

This location is rich in history and surrounded with tales of the paranormal.

Phenomena consists of run ins with a ghostly little girl known as Annie.

The girl is wearing a white dress and has been known to readily interacts with living children.

Also sighted here is the spirit of a ten year old boy named Joseph seen manifesting in visitors photographs sporting an old fashioned bowl style hair cut, pale face, blackened eyes and is known to be quite mischievous in nature, so keep an eye on your belongings.

Paranormal investigators have described exceedingly high EMF (electromagnetic field) levels and spinetingling whispering EVPs (electronic voice phenomena).

Staff are constantly subjected to unexplainable cold spots, loud crashing and banging sounds and strange figures which appear on computers and televisions.

Guests have told of sudden flashback like visions of what can only be considered as either timeslip phenomena and/or residual hauntings of the buildings past.

An entity, fondly nicknamed The Chessboard Ghost, actively manipulates chess pieces on an old games room chessboard.

Can you imagine how fascinating that would be to witness?

Have you ever seen an object move unaided?

Because if you have i would like to hear from you.

Otherworldly white mist like shapes are often seen gently dancing amidst various rooms.

Just outside is a burial grounds, where a Cherokee princess is buried. It is alleged that anyone who removes any stones from her grave, will surely stare death in the face.

Any person who move any stones laid on her grave will be met with death, and many have.

Chillingly, there have been construction workers who removed stones from the grave who mysteriously and unexpectedly passed away.

What do you think?

Coincidence, or curse?
