Chilling EVPs And Teenage Ghosts At Le Pavillon | French Quarter New Orleans Louisiana | Paranormal | Historical | Haunted | America | BoiCGH

New Orleans breathes the paranormal.

Nothing else feels like New Orleans when it comes to the macabre.

Vampire legends, jazz saloons, unadulterated debauchery, midnight murders and voodoo tales, home to the famous French Quarter and some truly dark historical locations and has an ambience all of its own.

In the early eighteenth century, the site on which this hotel is built was acquired by Jean Bienville, original Jesuit Father who founded New Orleans. The Jesuit Fathers cultivated raw sugar cane and indigo plantations.

Le Pavillon Hotel was built in 1907 and is rumored to be not only Lousianas, but the worlds, most haunted hotel.

This luxury, triple A Diamond Award hotel is really something else. Crystal chandeliers, Italiante statues, original artwork and exclusive furniture imported from Paris. This hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Preservation.

Originally named Hotel de Soto, the building was first utilized as the towns very first trading depot.

The hotel basement houses a network of secret tunnels once frequented by elite and politicians during the Prohibition. The hotel later became the first hotel in New Orleans to operate hydraulic elevators.

Most notable guests include Louis Armstrong and his parents, Marylin Monroe and President George Bush.

The seventh floor has been compared to a Stephen king movie, as many have encountered the apparition of a little girl in a white dress, casually jumping rope.

Guests claim an invisible force is often felt sitting on beds, and has even pulled bedsheets from them.

Televisions and faucets mysteriously turn on during the night, accompanied by creepy and unexplained knocking sounds on doors. Dresser drawers have been seen to fly open and items scatter across the floor.

Room 930 is where Ada the spirit of a teenage girl lingers. Ada was a guest here with her family. She ran out into the street just outside the hotel and was struck by a horse drawn carriage, killing her instantly.

Guests claim the elevators have a mind of their own and will take them to floors not selected.

Staff tell how the lobby is the most haunted area, items have been seen to launch from the front desk.

Paranormal investigators have recorded EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) shouting ‘GET OUT’ and believe this location to act as a paranormal portal for spirits to enter.

Whether you’re interested in the paranormal aspect or not, surely a rooftop pool and exquisite dining is worth a look.
