The Haunted Lodge | An Uneasy Feeling And Residual Screaming | The Chateau At The Oregon Caves | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | Oregon | BoiCGH

The Chateau at the Oregon Caves is a historic lodge housed with the National Historic District, just off Cave Junction in Oregon.

This building is recognised as one the most architecturally intriguing lodges in the National Park system.

Originally established in the 1930s and during 2003 the site was contracted by Oregon Caves Outfitters who renovated and opened a visitor centre.

The chateau has long been surrounded with tales and claims of the supernatural and active hauntings.

The lodges top floor is the most actively haunted area, with childrens giggles, footsteps and apparitions.

If there is a dark corner in the room, you will hear voices emanating from that dark place.

During the 1930s a woman called Elizabeth stayed here with her husband and children, in room 310.

Elizabeth settled the children to bed and noticed her husband was missing.

She went to search for him down in the lobby and discovered him in the arms of another woman.

They argued and things became violent.

The next morning Elizabeths body was found in a ditch just below the balcony of the room. It was never clarified whether she fell, was she pushed, did she jump?

What do you think?

Staff report hearing unexplainable blood curdling screams coming from that very room, along with sudden and intense temperature change usually by way of ice cold channels.

Is Elizabeth residually haunting the Lodge today?

Many visitors describe an uneasy feeling about the whole lodge and even in the surrounding woodlands.

Why not come and see for yourself.
