The Running Children At Mountain Massacre Memorial Site | Washington County Utah | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

Mountain Meadows Massacre occurred on 11th September 1857 in Washington County when Utah Militia marched in on wagon trains and slaughtered at least 150 men, women and children.

This event was recorded as one of the worst massacres in United States history with body parts being strewn along the roads for over two miles.

And these are the most haunted meadows in all of Utah.

The Baker-Fancher wagon train was filled with men, women and children all travelling from Utah to California when they were attacked by Mormon Militia. The Militia shrugged these allegations off as heresay and blamed the Paiute Militia for the atrocities.

Visitors claim to hearing these tortured souls still crying out for help with some even describing full spectrum apparitions of small children running for their lives, across the meadows and an old man who just sits and cries. Heartbreaking indeed.

Others have experienced the booming sounds of gun fire so loud they had to physically cover their ears.

Some are so completely overcome by a feeling of sadness and despair that they leave the site prematurely.

Strange voices and darting shadow figures, are these manifestations of souls eternally trapped here? These bodies were not respectfully buried but horrifically mutilated and just left on the roadsides.

We do know that residual haunting are resultant from traumatic events and sudden departure.

So it comes as no surprise that this location is so paranormally active.

If you ever get a chance to visit, tis a wonderfully noble and historic memorial site, and is located off U.S. Highway 18 near St George.
