The Spectral Ghost Children Who Play in The Hallways | The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa | Denver Colorado | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

Colorado, the Centennial State, has a truly diverse landscape, vast canyons, arid deserts accompanied by a rich fascinating history.

The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa is a four star luxury boutique hotel located in downtown Denver, Colorado. The venue was first established in 1892 by Henry C. Brown who homesteaded much of the Capitol Hill quarter.

Originally constructed using red brick and sandstone, the hotel proudly houses two fine original 1930s art works namely 'Stagecoach' and 'Airplane Travel' by famous American illustrator Allen Tupper True who thrived on depicting Great American Western themes.

The lobby sports a magnificent intricately painted stained glass skylight window, Carrera marble countertops, Florentine atrium arch ways and even an in house Cigar lounge.

There have been many famous and notable persons known to check in here including The Beatles, Bill Clinton, Queen Marie of Romania, American Philanthropist Molly Brown who was known for surviving the Titanic and later fondly nicknamed 'unsinkable Molly Brown', Ronald Reagan and Dwight D. Eisenhower.

So what about the ghosts?

The hotel has quite the reputation for its prolific, and varied, range of paranormal activities.

Phenomena includes mysterious knocking and scratching sounds emanating from walls, disembodied footstep with lights and taps spontaneously activating.

During 1911 a man named Frank Heywood opened fire here killing Sylvester Lewis Tony Von Phul a known rival. However, an innocent bystander, who was standing at the bar area, was fatally caught in the cross fire. His name was George Copeland.

Staff and guests alike have witnessed all three male apparitions, as if re playing their final moments of life, right here in the lobby. Severe trauma, as i'm sure we are all learning (quiz at the end. Not really) is often resultant in high residual energy manifestations.

Astonishingly, there have been a handful of guests who claim they even spoke verbally with George, at the very bar he died, thinking him to be just another regular guest that is until he vanishes into thin air!

The spirit of American socialite, Mrs Louise Crawford Hill, has been known to make actual phone calls to the front desk and violently pull bedsheets from startled guests at night. Mrs Hill lived in room 904 from 1940 to 1955.

But perhaps the most unsettling phenomena experienced here are the after dark sightings of spectral children casually playing in the hallways. These children seem unaware of the living and quite happily interact with one another. If you approach them they immediately exit our realm returning to the supernatural.

Others have seen a ghostly waiter standing in the elevators and heard audible disembodied orchestral symphonies being played throughout the dining halls.

Currently owned by Marriott Bonvoy, the hotel is pet friendly, offers high tea, fine cuisine and modern day amenities.

What do you think?

Could you handle a night at this otherworldly palace?

Just don't startle the children.
