The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) | Saturday Night Scares | Movie Recommendation | Community | Entertainment | BoiCGH

From the producers of Trick R Treat comes The Taking Of Deborah Logan (2014).

This is a great found footage film following a womans descent into dementia.

A mother and daughter agree to take part in a study on Alzheimers and invite a group of college students into their home to document their case.

However, the filming crew soon realise that as the mothers condition spirals, there seem to be other things transforming also. Are they dealing with demonic possession? Her changes are not just physiological, but supernatural. Incidents surrounding her cannot be rationally, medically or scientifically explained.

Supernatural terror at its best.

The honorable thing about this movie is it did not grasp the topic of dementia carelessly, but rather used the plot as an opportunity to reveal much of the devastation surrounding that illness which can so severely affect lives.

But believe me when i say there is a darker thread to this tale than your average found footage movie involving a merciless child killer.

Plenty of shocks, twists and jumpscares.

Watch as evil unravels, in the most disturbing manner, as it seeks to devour yet another soul.

Powerful, raw, well written and critiqued as being ‘the right way to do found footage movies’.

Enjoy the movie and let me know your favorite scene in the comment section below.
