The Vampire of Wolf Creek Inn | Wolf Creek Oregon | Historical | Paranormal | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

Located within the Wolf Creek State Heritage site in Oregon is the oldest existing hotel in the Pacific Northwest.  The 'Wolf Creek Tavern' sign post at the front of the property was erected way back in 1925. This inn really does have some stories to tell.

Originally the hotel was used as an inn and coach stop offering shelter and refreshment to local miners, hunters and cowboys coming in from San Francisco via the Applegate Trail. You can view the original imprints from past cowboys spurs in the rafters today.

This inn is believed to be actively haunted by multiple spirits, one reported as 'simply terrifying'. Keep reading as we will explain more below.

Notable famous characters who have enjoyed the tranquil serenity offered at this truly idyllic location are Hollywood greats such as Clark Gable, John Wayne, Orson Welles and Carole Lombard.

It was in one of these very rooms that author Jack London penned his highly acclaimed novel 'Valley of The Moon'. Jack died in 1916 yet many have reported hearing Jacks unmistakeable disembodied voice at the inn.

Could it be that Jack London loved this place so much that his spirit chooses to reside here to this very day?

Another spirit believed to actively haunt the inn today is that of an 1800s rough and tough, tobacco spitting, local stagecoach driver called Charlie. Paranormal investigators state that Charlie has clearly communicated with them via EVP (electronic voice phenomena) recording.

The inn originally offered 16 rooms in total, with separate parlours for the men and women. After renovations in the mid seventies staff reported a surge in unexplained paranormal activity. However, the phenomena experienced is described as positive rather than negative with staff believing the spirits may even be pleased to see that the building is being cared for.

It is rumoured there is one extremely sinister entity here known as the 'Vampire of Wolf Creek'.  This vampire like entity is said to observe this property from the surrounding woodlands, watching from the darkness with bloodstained teeth, hungry, calculating its prey. Also known as  'the creature'. If this is real, we hope you never encounter this entity.

The hotel is open today, the rooms being styled in an enchanting eclectic mix of the old and new. Delicious cuisine and a paranormal walking tour, surely worth a visit.

Are you ready to check in? If you do, we would love to know if you experience anything paranormal.
