The Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California, is a full service crematorium, funeral home and now comprises its very own cultural arts centre, located on the Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood.

Formed in 1897 when several organisations combined funds and opened the cemetery.

Paramount Pictures purchased forty acres of the grounds to use as specified private burial grounds for the notable, elite and celebrities.

In the early twentieth century the cemetery was renamed The Hollywood Forever Cemetery. However, in 1974, the crematorium was closed down due to public complaint, health and safety concerns and incidents of vandalism.

Hundreds of visitors have described sighting visible floating light anomalies, felt unexpected icy cold gusts of air and sighted full spectrum apparitions seemingly unaware they are dead, aimlessly wondering about the grounds.

A female spectre, wearing a long black mourning dress, is often seen placing flowers on the tombstone of Italian actor Rudolph Valentino, each year on the anniversary of his death. It is speculated that this is the spirit of Valentinos then fiancé, American actress Pola Negri.

Other phenomena encountered at the cemetery are whispering disembodied voices and a sense of being followed and watched by enquiring yet unseen eyes.
