This Story Will Break Your Heart | Haunted Masonic Temple | Detroit | Michigan | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

Gracing Detroits majestic skyline, along the Cass Corridor, is the historical Masonic Temple. Hauntingly beautiful in every way. This neo-gothic styled construction boasts 16 floors and over 1000 rooms!

However, there are more than just elaborate staircases and winding passageways to be found here.

This temple has a truly tragic history and is today believed to be haunted by the very architect who constructed the temple.

George D. Mason spent his life erecting this temple. Tragically funds were exhausted before completion. Several months later, his wife left him.

George spent his last moments of life attempting to complete the roof work. Moments later, through sheer heartbreak, he jumped from the roof to his death.

Many visitors, and security guards, have described witnessing mysterious shadow figures and a ghostly apparition climbing the stairs which lead to the roof top area.

Could this be the spirit of George Mason residually haunting the temple today?

Regardless of the tragedy this temple stands proud today as 'the worlds largest masonic temple'. Let's just hope Mr Mason is aware of what a precious historical landmark his creation became, if anything a beautiful beacon of accomplishment!

Have you ever visited the Detroit Masonic Temple?
