Visitors Surrounded In Warmth Of Old Pioneers | The Workman House Temple And Homestead Museum | Industry, California | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Workman House Temple And Homestead Museum is a historic house museum located in the city of Industry, California.

In 1850 pioneer William Workman set about establishing orchards and was primarily engaged in raising and maintaining livestock. A colleague of Workmans, namely Mr Wolfskill, discovered water passes, and grass mounds, in the Apple Valley and Mojave Desert areas and invited Workman to nurture his herds there.

Workman later passed one of his foreclosures, a ranch estate, onto his foreman Juan Matias Sanchez. Workman also had property interest in what we know today as Glendale and Beverly Hills. He had official claims to Cajon Pass and Lytle Canyon.

Following Workmans initial arrival to the San Gabriel valley in 1841 he purchased a portion of Rancho La Puento land and constructed a home. Soon after his daughter, 15 year old Antonia Marguerita Workman, married a gentleman named Fisk Temple, from another notable pioneer family, historically joining the two notable pioneer lines.

This area is iconic in the development of the America we cherish today and its pioneers will always be remembered.

A museum opened in 1981, and is open today, offering guided and self guided tours.

The adjoining, private, El Campo Santo cemetery and neo classical era mausoleum was established in 1850 still holds the remains of many original pioneers.

In 1870 the estate was significantly expanded. Burials have all but ceased yet this aged abode harbors a whole host of paranormal phenomena.

Visitors today have captured half formed silhouettes and floating light anomalies on camera and heard audible phantom knocking sounds. Many have reported encounters with ominous shadow figures and watched as strange unexplainable mists eerily descend down onto the estate.

Spirits of old pioneers are regularly sighted throughout the location with many describing a comforting feeling of warmth and reassurance as they enter.

Are the spirits of old lovingly keeping watch over what they worked so tirelessly to establish in life?
