The Old Ironton Psychiatric Hospital is located in Ironton City Missouri.

This location is believed home to hundreds of lost and tormented souls unable to find their resting place.

Patients were tortured and abused within these walls.

Men, women, children were placed here for mental illness treatments.

This place holds a darkness all of its own.

Non anaesthesized lobotomies, experimental testing, these horrors took place right here at this asylum.

Paranormal investigators have recorded exceedingly high EMF (electromagnetic field) readings, many around doors which appear to be screwed tight shut.

Why were the doors screwed shut?

Perhaps another despicable method of punishment for unruly patients?

EMF spikes happen when a fluctuation in electromagnetic fields is detected. This fluctuation is usually indicative of spirit presence/paranormal activity.

Also encountered were disembodied voices, the distant cries of children, emanating from the morgue area located in the basement and dark mass shadow figures.

How heartbreaking to think of the children who suffered here.

It is alleged that these spirits are angry, very angry, and will lash out.

They have been known to violently bang doors shut, push, scratch and audibly growl at the living.

And who can blame them after the horrors they endured?
