Ohio is known as one of the most haunted states in America. From the spooky goings on at the Twin City Opera House in McConnelsville to the Athens Ohio Lunatic Asylum. We will link articles for both those locations here.

A little deeper into Ohio we find Waynesville which is known as the most haunted town in Ohio and has even been described as 'teaming with ghosts' due to the high quantities of reported unexplained phenomena witnessed here.

From flickering candles to disturbing screams and full spectrum apparitions, Ohio has it. These reports became so frequent that a local group of historical enthusiasts, who were also fascinated with the paranormal, decided to set up a headquarters.

It is here they would touch base, discuss local history, set up events and look into current paranormal reports. It goes without saying that the recording of events, historically speaking, is vital.

During the 1920s the building ran as a boarding house and is located at the top of Quaker Hill. Featuring twenty two rooms which showcase some amazing exhibits and educational information on the towns historical Quaker heritage.

The group also now run 'Ghostly History and Walking Tours' which are extremely popular with local communities. Not only is this great fun but also a little history is learned along the way!

'The Museum At The Friends Home' continues to be a success, now an invaluable part of Ohios cultural and historical evolvement.
